May/June issue of Golden Isles Magazine
The newest issue (May/June 2010) of Golden Isles Magazine is out of newstands across the area. Once again, I was proud to be the Art Director and designer for the entire magazine. I also was responsible for many of the photographs inside and the front cover. This was a fun issue because it was all about local pilots. I tagged along with editor Amy Carter on a bunch of shoots to get some photographs. We talked with one gentleman who was building his own plane in his garage in Brunswick. He made some of my own DIY projects look like a joke. There are very few of my DIY projects that I would risk my life a couple thousand feet in the air with!
Speaking of being in the air, we also got to go up in a little Cessna to take some photos. The cover shot is a result of that trip. We flew from St. Simons down to Cumberland Island’s northern end around over Brunswick and up to Little St. Simons, Sea Island and back. It was a lot of fun.
I also did some photography of some children on the beach for an article on things to do for kids in the area.
If you’ve never had a chance to read through an issue of Golden Isles Magazine, please consider doing so. And I don’t just mean to flip through it to see the pretty pictures. The articles in it are really well written. The editor, Amy Carter, does a fantastic job of writing and editing. If you can’t get a printed copy of it, you can always go see it online. Just go HERE to read it.
Looking forward to the next issue already!

I picked up a copy and have it in my bag to take to Jax and read there. The cover is beautiful!
The cover is awesome. We will be looking forward to our paper copy in the mail.
